Blooming Photographer
Kaitlyn’s art class was studying a little photography this past month, so they took a field trip to a botanical garden to take some pictures. I think she did a really nice job! She may just have a natural talent.
Here are some of her photos:

Awesome job Kaitlyn!
Kaitlyn's Piano Recital
The kids are down to three and a half days of school! I have so much I want to get done before they’re out! It would be nice to finish a couple of songs I’ve been working on in peace and quiet. Ya know without Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, or SpongeBob playing in the background! I will just figure out a line for a song when I hear, “it’s the climb” and well there went the line. Gone. Like the wind. Never to be retrieved again. I would also like to get some exercise and shopping in sans kids too! You know important stuff! ![]()
Anyway, enough about me. I wanted to let everyone know about a big event happening this week (other than the last day of school), Kaitlyn’s piano recital! I want to invite y’all to tune in Tuesday night, at 6:30 pm central time, on my website www.cynthiatallman.com where we will be livestreaming it! Their teacher, Jenifer Danielson and the students have worked really hard this year and this is a great way for family and friends who live out of town to see and hear their accomplishments.
So I pray everyone will have a great Monday and we’ll see ya Tuesday night!
School Day at the "K"
Tristan’s class went to School Day at the “K” (Royal’s Stadium) last week. The local Fox news affiliate puts on a weather/science lesson in the morning, and then the kids stay to watch the Royal’s play in the afternoon.

Chris, Tristan & John Allen
I’ve been to this event a couple of times, so this year Chris accompanied Tristan. Guinness Book of World Records was also there that day. Two world records were made that morning; one was for holding the largest weather lesson with an attendance of 16,110, and the other was for the highest pancake flip which was over 24 feet in the air!
Everyone had a great time!
Pure Generosity
I just read this great post by Shaun Groves. I encourage you to read it.
2 Corinthians 8:2-4 “Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints.
”How come people who have so little are more giving than people who have so much?”
Good question, Shaun.

Quote of the Day
Quote from A. W. Tozer
“Christianity is so entangled with the world that millions never guess how radically they have missed the New Testament pattern. Compromise is everywhere.”
